MOTD / subtle pink eyes
Welcome back to my blog!
I have decided that I am going to do some MOTD'S for you all, so you can achieve some of the looks yourselves and also splurge on some of the makeup goodies I own! I know I don't have the best quality in my images, I currently take them on my iPhone, but I’m looking into getting a camera so you guys can really see the quality of the makeup. I’m going to try and make this as quick as possible so it’s not super long winded and boring, so here goes...
I started with my usual primer routine, if you haven’t already read about it; I posted it a couple of weeks ago. I always start with my eyes, doing your skin first is a waste of product and effort in my opinion, you're just going to get fallout from the shadow onto your skin, and then you'll have to start again with more product. As some of you may know in my priming routine I apply MAC's ‘Soft Ocre’ paintpot and dust over with any neutral shadow, in this case it was MAC's ‘Brule’. I then started working into my crease with a Zoeva crease brush with a light pink colour also from MAC; this one was called ‘Warm Breeze’. I then used a blush from Nars in the colour ‘Madly’, to work into my crease as it is more of a deeper pink and it works well blended into a transition colour. After this I start working into my inner and outer corner, leaving out the middle of my eye, I work MAC's ‘Gingersnap’ into the inner and outer corners, really packing it on. I then go in with a lighter brown shade to create definition, this one being called ‘Saddle’. I use a Zoeva Luxe Pencil brush as it is more defined and allows you to work on a much smaller area. After this I go on to create a subtle spotlight eye, I spray MAC fix + onto a Zoeva soft definer brush and swirl it into MAC's ‘Honey Lust’ shadow, and then go over this with a paintpot in the shade ‘Vintage Selection’. I then use what’s left on my crease brush, as it is a mix off all the pink toned shadows I have used, on my waterline, and then add the paintpot in to the middle of my waterline.
That’s it…simple! The key to this look is to use the right brushes. I normally don't use a ton of MAC, but all the shadows I used for this look were from the warm neutral palette, that’s why it sounded slightly excessive lol.
Hope this helps...its kind of hard to explain, I might start doing videos. Feel free to send me some of your pictures! My contact details are on my site.
