Welcome to my page!
Hey Guys, welcome to my page!
I have decided to start a blog based on my journey as a makeup artist. I have always been on the creative side, anything that gets my imagination running wild is my kinda thing. I love it. So in 2014 I took a massive leap, quit my A levels, and went to college. This doesn't sound much, but believe me when I say it was a risk. I started at South Trafford college that Septmember, not knowing what to expect, but I went in with high hopes. Since that day, I haven't looked back. 2014 was the year I found myself. I discovered a whole new path and oppurtunity. Not only did I find my passion and love for makeup, but for SFX and avant garde also. I came out of college with a triple distinction and applied for Media Makeup for Fashion and Photographics and the Univeristy of Salford. And here I am! I have already improved my skills, learnt new techniques and started finding new paths of makeup. I have met an amazing bunch of people, some of who I consider my forever friends and it is honestly the best thing I have ever commited myself to..in other words, it was worth the risk!
I plan to blog once a week and let you guys know what I have been up to, I have a lot planned for this year already so I hope it's a good (and successful) one!
So, enough about all that. This is what I've been up to so far in 2016...
These images are taken from my first every photoshoot. I was nervous, but I was excited to see what it would be like. It was a lingerie shoot, for a brand called Kestle Boudior. I basically got left to create whatever I wanted, the shoot manager wanted a softer look...but apart from that I just got left to it, yay! So I decided on a strobing kind of look, lots of glow, lots of radiance. I went for a slight shimmer to the eye, with pressed pigment under the waterline, and of course falsies! I finished off with a nude lip, and dusted some added highlight over my models collarbones...something I learnt from YouTube haha. Overall I loved the experince, I have already booked in to do some more this year, I will keep you updated.
